historiography consists of four movements: historiography, hip hag sorority, shy pig riot hora, and too high spry air. The first movement was composed as theme music for Kim Sonderborg's History Podcast website. I wanted to create something that sounded like American news music, that you might hear on NPR or PBS, as opposed to the major networks, or the doom-n-gloom of FoxNews. The remaining movements are remixes of individual instrument tracks — flute, trombone, and pandeiro, respectively — in which I explore residual sounds that the instruments make.
